Does this run on propane

Yes, a 20lb tank works great. I use it to start the fire in my wood fired pizza oven.

Does this burner have an adjustable pilot?

I wouldn’t refer to it as a ‘pilot’…you turn the gas tank on…you turn the Mag-Torch wand on to the level you feel comfortable (low is good!)…you flick the ‘igniter’ @ the end of the wand & when it ignites, you can adjust the torch up or down according to your needs…keep in mind that at FULL output it’s 500,000 BTU’s!!!

How long does a 20pound tank last with this torch?

A 20 pound tank will work, but when it is half empty the flame will not be as strong. The propane will not vaporize fast enough to make the torch work properly. That is why i use a 30 pound. tank. But a 20 pound tank you can get 4 strong working hours with the torch on full blast.
